# Technical Innovation Challenge
It's over! The first Geek Week Technical Innovation Challenge has come to a close, and it's been an amazing ride.
With the help of technical mentors from PatriotHackers, Student-Run Computing and Technology, and the Mason Laboratory for IT Entrepreneurship, as well as entrepreneurial mentors from the School of Business and Mason Innovation Lab, students worked for four days to develop awesome new innovative products. On Friday we saw presentations from four of these teams. The winners of Friday's Expo were:
1st place: _Positive Deviancy_
* Jade Garrett
* Brant Nesbitt
* Tetis Chang
* Viet Nguyen
2nd place: _QuickAlert_
* Nathan LaPierre
* Zoheb Lokhandwala
* Ayan Khera
* Akshay Karthik
3rd place: _MyProfiles_
* Ismoil Rakhmatullaev
* Jung Joo
* Key Leutchit
* Phil Shin
This event would not have been possible without the support of our awesome judges and sponsors. Thanks to Professor Mahesh Joshi from the School of Business, Professor Mary Carns from the Art and Visual Technology department, and Professors Kinga Dobolyi and Mark Snyder from the Volgenau School.
Thanks once again to our contestants and congratulations to all the winners! You guys deserved it!
