Twitter meeting previews
Post to the @MasonSRCT Twitter account reminders for our meetings the day before, the morning of, and 30 or so minutes before our meeting.
There are two key parts of implementing this issue. The first is making sure that responses will fit within Twitter's 140 character limit. This may mean some trying some creative formatting of times or dates.
The second is making sure that any posts will not feel robotic, rote, or impersonal. This means we must have at least 15 ways of saying the meeting is tomorrow, 15 ways of saying the meeting is this evening, and 15 ways of saying the meeting is about to start. Additionally, instead of posting at an exact time, we must randomize the time that we post our tweets. Instead of posting exactly at 10am, the 'day before' tweet should be scheduled for a random time between 8am and 12pm. The 'morning of' tweet should be posted a random time between 8:30am and 10:30am. The 'about to begin' tweet should be scheduled for 20-60 minutes before the start of the meeting.
All of the times should be calculated based on the current time, and date of the next meeting, as pulled from our public Google calendar.
